Description
Native American Indian Hopi Wicker Plaque and (3) Papago Tohono O’odham Tribe Woven Trays / Trivets. The Hopi Plaque measures 10″ x 9-1/2″. The largest of the Papago trays is 12″ x 7-3/4″. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping.
Condition
Hopi Plaque: The foundation appears solid. Rim is mostly tight and intact, some loosening of weave on rim. Some possible broken stitches. No appearance of exposed foundation rods or “mouse bites”. Weave appears tight with little to no loose coils or broken wefts. Patina appears somewhat even, noticeable fading of colors. Some possible oxidation to age. Overall condition of plaque is consistent with age and use. Papago trays: The foundations appear solid. Rims are mostly tight and intact, some loosening of weave on rims. Some possible broken stitches. No appearance of exposed foundation rods or “mouse bites”. Weave appears tight with little to no loose coils or broken wefts. Patina appears somewhat even, noticeable fading of colors on one of the circular trays. Some possible oxidation to age. Overall condition of trays are consistent with age and use.
