Bidding
- All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults. All descriptions are believed accurate but not warranted; the absence of a condition report does not imply that an object is free of defects, wear or restoration. Bidder inspection is encouraged, and by placing a bid the bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction or chosen not to.
- We run multiple online bidding venues alongside phone and absentee bidders. There is no guarantee an online bid will be accepted, especially when it ties with a bid on another venue; the venues do not communicate with each other and our clerks cover each one live. Notifications from bidding venues during or after the auction are not proof of won lots; all bids are verified against live clerking results on the first business day after the auction, and winning bidders are emailed an invoice within a few business days.
- We reserve the right to reject any bid at our sole discretion.
Buyer’s premium
- 17% for bids placed in person, by absentee bid or by phone.
- 20% for online bids on our app, BidSpirit, Bidsquare and HiBid; 22% on LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable/AuctionZip.
Absentee and phone bids
- Accepted for bidders who pre-register with us directly and provide payment information. The absentee bid form must be submitted by 5 PM the day before the auction. For a phone bid, the bidder agrees to open the bidding at $100 or the starting bid, whichever is greater.
