Oil on canvas painting of a countryside landscape with village in the background, signed D. Edzard lower right. Unframed painting canvas measures 24″ x 36″. Provenance: Obtained from the artist’s grandson by his first wife, Emmy Bayer (who was the granddaughter of Friedrich Bayer, founder of the Bayer Co.). Unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. Biography: Much is still unknown about Dietz Edzard, despite the vast number of auction records for his work (more than 1,100 on Artnet alone). Some of his more interesting works have never left the possession of his descendants. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice.
