Oil on canvas waterfront scene, written on the verson “Quai National” could possibly be referring to Paris or Lucerne Switzerland, signed lower right corne D. Edzard. Image measures 36-1/2″ x 24″ frame measures 43″ x 31″. Provenance: Obtained from the artist’s grandson by his first wife, Emmy Bayer (who was the granddaughter of Friedrich Bayer, founder of the Bayer Co.). Unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. Biography: Much is still unknown about Dietz Edzard, despite the vast number of auction records for his work (more than 1,100 on Artnet alone). Some of his more interesting works have never left the possession of his descendants. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice.
