Etched straight blade measures approx. 35″, 41″ overall, 1-1/8″ wide. Blade marked “Royal Artillery” amid floral and military motifs. Ricasso marked Guthrie & Valentine, Cork St., London. Opposite side bears six-pointed proof star with “PROVEN”gold center. Back spine reads “Made in England” with serial number “10380”. Triple-bar steel guard with intact shagreen ray skin grip and tight wire wrap. Brown leather-covered steel scabbard. TAGS: 1821P, British cavalry, Victorian sword, etchedeapon, antique saber, 19th century military. Age appropriate wear. Blade shows discoloration and etch wear.
