Description
Early WWI German M1898/05 “Butcher” bayonet with clipped-point blade and steel scabbard. Blade measures approx. 14-1/4″, overall 19-1/2″. Ricasso clearly marked “Fichtel & Sachs Schweinfurt” on one side and bears a Bavarian proof mark with seriumber “1569” on the spine. Features protective muzzle ears, grooved wooden grips, and original birdshead pommel with functioning release button. Includes correct period steel scabbard with frog stud. TAGS: Imperial German.
