Sharps buffalo percussion rifle Model 1853 in 52 caliber, slant breech, converted from carbine. Heavy octagonal barrel measures approx. 25″ and is marked “Sharps Rifle Manufg. Co. Hartford Conn.” Frame is marked “Sharps Patent 1848″. Overall lenapprox. 42-1/4”. Brass patch box in stock. Original Sharps .52 cal bullet mold included. TAGS: Hunting, Frontier, Bill Cody, Scout, Great Sioux War, Civil War, Sporting, Sporter, Sport Shooting black powder. Light appropriate wear, clean bore with visible rifling.
