Pre WWI early 20th century antique British Royal Army Corps Officer’s Home Service helmet. Velvet with gold gilt edging, ball ornament and cross piece, chin chain, and rosettes. Chin chain backed with velvet. T. McBride & Sons. Approx. 10-3/4″ x 10-1/4″. Wear consistent with age including flaws to the velvet, loss of finish on brass, possible replacement velvet on chin strap, back apron with a crack to the interior, some wear to interior.
