Measures about 3-5/8″ diameter. Marked on outside by the one who dug it (a long time ago), “6 Pnd. ~C.S.~ Shot.” Weighs 6.84 pounds. Note: This size and weight could indicate that it was a Revolutionary War or War of 1812 shot — where it was founis unknown. But it would not have been used past the early Civil War period.
