Antique percussion half stock rifle. Approx. .42 caliber. Octagon barrel measures 30-1/2″, unmarked. Measures 37″ overall. Percussion ignition with engraved hammer. Features set trigger and curved brass trigger guard. Full-length wooden ramrod present. TAGS: BP, antique firearm, frontier rifle, 19th century, percussion arm, muzzleloader, black powder. Condition
Barrel has a uniform brown patina, set trigger action works. Bore rifling is strong with scattered spots of oxidation. Stock has some deep gouges along with a piece of embedded metal. See images.
