Antique Remington Rolling Block rifle with bayonet lug. Barrel measures 36″, 51-1/2″ overall. Bore measures approx. 11mm at the muzzle and 13mm at the breech. This rifle has the “three-line” tang patent information, reading: “E REMINGTON&SONS, ILION, N.Y. U.S.A.” above “PAT. MAY 3D 1864, MAY 7TH JUNE 11TH NOV12TH. DEC24TH 1872” with “DEC31ST 1872,SEPT 9TH 1873 JAN 12TH MAR 18TH 1874.” Left receiver flat and stock are marked with a “R”. Barrel bands are marked “U”. Two sling mounts. TAGS: military single shot, antique breechloader, black powder period, Remington export, 19th century rifle, .50-70 Government single shot rifle. This item can be shipped in-house.
