Description
Half-stock percussion musket with approx. .69 caliber smoothbore. Barrel measures approx. 36″ and is octagon transitioning to round, 52″ overall. Lockplate is marked “J Golcher” with scroll engraving. Barrel is marked “BELFAST” on the top flat and shows Birmingham proof-style marks on the side flat. Features a brass trigger guard and buttplate, double set triggers, and ramrod. TAGS: antique firearm, lock plate, percussion era, British origin, collectible gun, 19th century arms. Condition
Barrel has a uniform brown patina. Action works. Bore has oxidation. Age appropriate wear to stock with a couple of hairlines behind the barrel. See images.
