Description
Arizona Hualapai Basket and (2) Mission Baskets. The Hualapai basket measures approx 9″ in diameter and 6″ high. The largest Mission basket is 4-1/2″ in diameter x 2-1/2″ tall. The smaller Mission basket is 3″ in diameter and 2″ tall. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping.
Condition
Hualapai: The rim has obvious damage and wear. Some definite broken stitches throughout basket with an appearance of exposed foundation rods. Weave appears mostly tight but there are some definite loose coils and broken wefts. Patina appears even, some fading of colors. Some possible oxidation to age. Mission: The foundations on both appear solid. Rims are tight and intact. Some possible broken stitches. No appearance of exposed foundation rods or “mouse bites”. Weaves appear tight with little to no loose coils or broken wefts. Patina appears even, some fading of colors. Some possible oxidation due to age. Both baskets have holes on top of lids where there may have been handles. Overall condition of basket is consistent with age and use.
