Description
Contemporary rifle built in the style of Samuel Hawken, St. Louis. Octagonal heavy barrel measuring approximately 35-3/4″ (1-1/8″ across flats), overall length 52-1/2″. Bore measured approx. .56. Top flat marked “S. HAWKEN ST. LOUIS” with “R38A” on barrel flat and on underside of trigger guard. Barrel fitted with blade front sight. Secured by two wedges. Lockplate engraved with scrollwork, percussion ignition. Half-stock of tiger maple with strong figure, iron buttplate and furniture, and double set triggers. TAGS: Hawken reproduction, contemporary muzzleloader, black powder rifle, percussion firearm, plains rifle, tiger maple stock. This item can be shipped in-house.
