Extremely low production, rare WW2 Japanese North Chinese Type 19 pistol in 8mm Nambu caliber. 2nd production type. Serial #093. NOTE: According to Japanese Military Cartridge Handguns 1893-1945 (by authors Harry Derby & James Brown, copyright 2003), this is one of only 20 known examples of both production types of the North China Type 19. This particular pistol, numbered 093, is pictured on page 259. (First production type, see lot 88.) The Type 19 pistol is an adaptation if the type 14 Nambu pistol produced during late WWII by the Empire of Japan and China. Barrel measures approx. 4-1/2″.
