Blade measures approx. 31-3/4″, 38-1/4″ overall, and approx. 7/8″ wide. Dated 1861 and made by Collins & Co. Hartford Conn. Regulation U.S. Model 1840 Non-Commissioned Officer’s sword with cast brass hilt featuring a ribbed grip, large ellipticaluard, and rounded pommel.
