Description
Blade measures 11-3/4″, overall length 16-1/4″. Ricasso is stamped “US” on one side and “1896” on the other, consistent with production at Springfield Armory. Features a fullered blade with straight edge and spear point. Walnut grips secured byrivets with no washers, as seen on earlier production examples. Includes original steel scabbard with Krag-style belt loop and blued finish. Bayonet lacks a muzzle ring, as is standard for this pattern. TAGS: Krag rifle bayonet, Spanish-American War, Springfield Armory blade, US military edged weapon, early US bayonet. Oxidation and patina consistent with field use.
