Description
Fascinating, one-of-a-kind vintage Industrial wall sculpture, made from Cold War era missile components. Constructed from two X-ray vacuum tubes (one marked Eureka Ray) on a pipe frame with two brass rings (clock dials, possibly) on which are mounted two circuit boards. One circuit board has an Autonetics tag on it, and one is date-stamped 1-15-62, the other 2-1-62. The two circuit boards are part of the guidance system from either the Hound Dog (AGM-28) cruise missile or Minuteman I (LGM-30) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (both guidance systems were made by Autonetics, and the dates on the boards are consistent with the development of both missiles). Sculpture measures about 32-1/2″ high and 24″ wide, vacuum bulbs are 20-3/4″ hih. Sculpture is flange mounted to 1×6 board.
