Description
Original German Model 1915 Pickelhaube with field gray steel fittings and black lacquered leather shell. Front plate is the Prussian line eagle with “FR” cypher and motto “Mit Gott fur Konig und Vaterland,” attached with original split-prong moun. Spike is the 1915 pattern vented type with four riveted supports and removable round base. Both national and Prussian cockades are present, mounted behind the M1915 pattern metal side lugs. Interior dome bears the unit stamp “B.A. XIV 1916” indicating manufacture under the Bekleidungsamt for the XIV Army Corps. Interior also shows a faint “56” size mark. Chinstrap appears complete with original field gray hardware.
