Description
German Kriegsmarine officer’s dress sword by Alexander Coppel GmbH (ALCOSO), Solingen, circa 1930s WWII era. Blade measures approx. 33-1/2″, overall length approx. 39″, 7/8″ wide. Ricasso bears partial ALCOSO scale hallmark. Gilded brass hilt featres a lion-head pommel, cream-toned celluloid grip wrapped in triple-strand wire, and folding guard with raised anchor motif. Guard is engraved “N 2584” beside a stylized naval eagle with swastika, indicating likely Kriegsmarine issue. Backstrap and knuckle bow display floral and leaf decorations. No scabbard present.
