Large handwritten and illustrated navigation book belonging to G.H. Griffiths, titled “Navigation” on the cover. Dated entries inside reference studies from 1912 through 1919, including notations such as “Summer Term 1912,” “Easter Term 1913,” and later “H.M.S. Cornwall” and “H.M.S. Timgad” (1916-1919). Contents include extensive hand-drawn and colored diagrams of buoys, semaphore and Morse alphabets, international signal flags, and naval maneuvers, along with handwritten lessons on seamanship and signaling. Bound in half-leather with marbled endpapers, measuring 13″ x 8-1/2″, approximately half full of handwritten text and illustrations.
