Description
American Arms Co., Boston side-by-side hammer shotgun, serial 2214. Marked with G.H. Fox patent dates (Jan. 4, 1870; Nov. 6, 1877; Jan. 8, 1878). 30″ browned Damascus-pattern barrels, double triggers, external hammers, side-swing opening action with push-forward stud. Bore diameter at the muzzle is approx. 19mm. 14″ LOP, 46-1/4″ overall. TAGS: Antique Victorian-era firearm, percussion sporting gun collectible, hand-forged construction, engraved receiver detail, full-length rib, flip-top break 12 gauge, 10 gauge, pre 1898. Condition
Action works, overall brown patina to finish, bores have some oxidation. Stock has typical age related wear, no cracks. See images.
