Cadwallader D. Colden, “Memoir, prepared at the request of a Committee of the Common Council of the City of New York, and presented to the Mayor of the City, at the Celebration of the Completion of the New York Canals.” New York: Printed by order of the Corporation of New York, by W. A. Davis, 1825. Contemporary marbled boards with leather spine and corners, with original presentation label on the front board reading: “Presented by the City of New-York to Walter Clark, Esq., one of the Albany Committee.” Official city-issued commemorative volume produced for the 1825 canal completion festivities; illustrated throughout with maps, lithographic views, and facsimiles.
