Description
Antique U.S. Springfield Model 1816 Type III musket, manufactured in 1839 and subsequently converted from flintlock to percussion. Approximately .69 caliber. Lock marked “SPRING / FIELD / 1839.” Features percussion conversion with brass-filled former pan area and percussion nipple at the breech. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping.
Condition
Barrel and stock have been shortened. Barrel measures approx. 31″, stock is about 47″. Hammer screw appears to be a replacement and stock may not be original. See images.
