Description
Antique side-by-side double-barrel hammer shotgun by Royal Gun Works chambered in 12 gauge. Serial number 12764 appears on the barrels, forend and water table. Features approximately 32-1/4″ barrels marked “No 1612 Laminated Steel Belgium,” exposed hammers, double triggers, walnut stock and splinter forend. Overall length approximately 48-1/4″. Some published sources indicate that Royal Gun Works was a trade name used by Belgian gunmaker Henri Pieper on shotguns produced for Simmons Hardware Co. of St. Louis, Missouri. Condition
Shotgun has age appropriate wear with finish loss, oxidation and pitting. Top lever has no spring resistance. Stocks have dents and scratches and chips, no cracks. Bores are shiny with light discoloration. See images for more details on condition.
