Description
Antique Swiss Waffenfabrik Bern Model 1881 (M81) straight-pull bolt-action rifle chambered in obsolete 10.4 x 38 mm (.41 Swiss) rimfire. Serial number 216033, marked on the left side of the barrel beneath the rear sight and on left side of frame. Produced circa 1885-1887. Features a 33″ barrel, tangent rear sight, brass trigger guard, walnut stock with steel buttplate and cleaning rod beneath the barrel. Receiver is marked “Waffenfabrik Bern” over the serial number and “M.81.” Overall length approximately 52″. This item can be shipped in-house. Condition
Finish shows handling wear consistent with age and use. Minor finish loss. Stock shows handling marks, small dents and scratches. Cleaning rod is present. TAGS: straight-pull, Vetterli, Swiss military, black powder, collectible.
