Rare antique Merwin, Hulbert & Co. large frame double action revolver chambered in .44-40. Serial number 20238, (circa 1883-1885). 7″ barrel. Barrel marked “MERWIN, HULBERT & Co. New York, U.S.A.” with patent dates through Jan. 9, 1888 and “THE HOPKINS & ALLEN Manufacturing Co. Norwich, Conn. U.S.A.” Left side of frame marked “CALIBRE WINCHESTER 1873.” Twist-open extraction system. Nickel finish with factory engraved decoration across frame, barrel, and cylinder. Fitted with relief carved ivory grips featuring a Mexican eagle and snake. Lanyard ring present at butt. This item can be shipped in-house.
