Description
Antique Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolver. .31 caliber. Serial number 187968, (1861). 5-shot conversion cylinder. Barrel marked “ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA.” Octagon barrel with loading lever. Matching serial number observed on frame, barrel, trigger guard, cylinder and butt. Brass trigger guard and backstrap. Includes display case with glass top. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping.
Condition
Metal surfaces show overall gray patina with scattered oxidation and finish loss. Barrel address remains legible. Cylinder shows damage or alteration with handling wear. Brass components exhibit age toning with surface wear. Grips show moderate wear with handling marks. Bore is shiny with a few small spots. Barrel wedge/tang is loose. Cylinder stop does not allow the cylinder to rotate and cylinder advance does not work. One frame stud is missing. Mechanically non-functional. See images for more details on condition.
