Late Edo or Meiji period Arita ware charger. 18-5/8″ x 2-3/4″, signed with four-character auspicious mark. Provenance: From the estate of Jean Wilson, who — along with her friend Elizabeth Otey Watson — donated a large number of Asian ceramics and bronzes to build the collection of Washington & Lee University’s Watson Pavilion. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice. We maintain a list of reliable shippers, or you may choose your own.
