Upstairs at the White House by J.B. West, long-time Chief Usher in the White House, who served there from the FDR to the Nixon administrations. Signed and inscribed to “Jack” in 1973, positively identified as John “Jack” Horner, a White House staffer. Provenance: From the surviving family of Clark Dobson & John Horner. Dobson and Horner were personal friends of West’s. Horner was an Army major attached to the WHMO (White House Military Office) during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations.
