Description
Walther P38 semi-automatic pistol in 9mm. Slide marked “ac 43″ indicating Carl Walther wartime manufacture. Barrel measures approx. 4-7/8”. Serial number 5066n. Matching visible serial numbers observed on slide, frame and barrel lug. Waffenamt WaA359 inspection marks present on slide and frame with military eagle firing proof. Steel-frame double-action service pistol with open-top slide and Bakelite grips. Includes one magazine stamped P.38 on left side and leather holster with embossed “fkx / 4” and “P38” marks. Condition
Finish has uniform thinning and edge wear. Bore is clean and shiny with faint oxidation spots. Wartime bakelite grips have no cracks or chips. Holster leather is supple with no tears or holes. The double action seems to function properly however the single action does not, the hammer will not catch and stay back in the cocked position.
