Description
Hourglass wire dice cage on a metal base with twin uprights and circular top and bottom plates, used for the three-dice gambling game known as Chuck-a-Luck. Stamped “H.C. Evans & Co. Chicago” on the base. This style is consistent with models produced by the company during the 1920s–1940s. Measures 18-3/4″ x 14″ x 9-1/2″. Consignor states prior ownership was attributed to the Biltmore Hotel in Florida. TAGS: gambling equipment, casino antique, saloon game, carnival amusement, birdcage dice machine, early 20th century.
