Description
A step up from the typical Chinese carved ivory chess set, with 5″ kings. Each pawn is different, and knights face opposite ways. Natural finish is white side, and stained finish is black side. Board has hinge issues (but who buys these nice ivory sets and plays on the original board anyway?) — pieces are intricately carved, with ornate robes on the kings, queens and bishops. Board box measures 54″ x 12″ x 5-1/2″. Please note: The item is carved from antique, pre-ban African elephant ivory. The item can be shipped in-house within Florida. Prior to bidding, prospective purchasers should familiarize themselves with any local regulations that might affect their ability to receive this lot. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice. We maintain a list of reliable shippers, or you may choose your own.
