Description
Cast aluminum desk model of a jet fighter with Taiwan Air Force insignia. Mounted on a stylized wing on an ashtray base. Inscription around the base names Major “Ka De” (transliteration) and gives the date “Minguo 44,” which is 1955. Presented by the Republic of China (ROC) military. Given the U.S. advisory mission in Taiwan during the First Taiwan Strait Crisis, it was likely presented to a U.S. military advisor, though the individual has not been verified. Measures 9-3/8″ high.
