U.S. Spanish-American War era m1881 white infantry spiked helmet with Excelsior Brigade plate. Infantry “crossed rifles” insignia buttons with chin strap hooks on the interior, under the liner, and having cork spacers. Excelsior Brigade helmet plate with a 2 on the shield may refer to a Civil War Union Army unit raised in New York state and surrounding areas and may have been used by former members of the unit. Overall helmet is approx. 11″L x 9-1/2″H. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping.
