Description
Large hand-lettered railroad chalkboard marked Conductors Sales Record with columns for conductor, train numbers, trips, direct sales, sections, changes, and totals. Original painted wood frame with reinforced back, stenciled TUS believed to be for Tampa Union Station. Train numbers correspond to Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line services operating from Tampa, including 91/92 West Coast Champion (introduced 1941), 157/158 Silver Meteor west-coast section, 75/76 Havana Special and later Gulf Coast Special, and 32/33 Southland. Based on these services, the board was in use between approximately 1941 and 1967, most likely the 1950s when all trains were active. Measures 43 1/2″ x 43 1/2″ x 2″.
