1975 Topps #254, Moses Malone (HOF) RC, graded GEM MINT 9.5 by BVG. (No BVG-graded Malone RCs have been given a Pristine 10, and this is one of only six Beckett 9.5s with none higher.) Centering, corners and edges subgrade 9.5, with a surface of 9. In addition to this one, today’s auction features several of basketball’s most iconic cards. Please note: This card is unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic and Beckett-slabbed. The BVG number is, however, part of the software snafu that erased thousands of cards in BVG’s early years — a well-documented problem. Beckett will re-encapsulate the card with the same grades and a new serial. (Or you could take your shot at a Gem Mint 10 at PSA, if you’re feeling ambitious.) This item can be shipped in-house.
