Parraud “with additions.” 8vo (about 8″ x 5″). [4], xvi, 234 pp., half-title, and the engraved folding “Carte de Kentucke,” the first Kentucky map published in France, with legend and cartouche engraved in French. Filson, a surveyor and one of the founders of Cincinnati, here prints the landmark Boone narrative (“Aventures du Colonel Daniel Boon…”) that helped establish Boone’s legend.
