Oil on board painting of female nude signed in pencil lower right Dietz Edzard. Image measures 7″ x 9-1/2″ frame measures 13″x 16-3/4″. Provenance: Obtained from the artist’s grandson by his first wife, Emmy Bayer (who was the granddaughter of Friedrich Bayer, founder of the Bayer Co.). Unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. Biography: Much is still unknown about Dietz Edzard, despite the vast number of auction records for his work (more than 1,100 on Artnet alone). Some of his more interesting works have never left the possession of his descendants. This item can be shipped in-house.
