Description
Leitz Wetzlar Super-Angulon-R 21mm f/4 wide-angle lens for Leica R-mount SLR cameras. Serial number 2448399, catalog number 11813. Made in Germany and marked “Leitz Wetzlar” on the front ring. Designed in collaboration with Schneider-Kreuznach, this ultra-wide rectilinear lens was a technical achievement in its era, offering exceptional distortion control and edge-to-edge clarity. The lens is well-suited for landscapes, architecture, and general photography where a wide field of view is desired. Includes front and rear caps and the original square lens hood. Housed in the original LEICAFLEX box with matching serial number. Condition
Smooth focus, aperture moves as intended. Internal dust present, lens was clear, no fungus. One of the two silver alignment pegs on the lens barrel, used to secure the hood, is missing. See images for more details on condition.
