Description
Large antique German bisque porcelain head and composition body doll. Socket head with sleepy brown glass paperweight eyes, open mouth with teeth, chin dimple and pierced ears. Fully jointed composition and wood body. Unusually large size, 33″L. Accompanying the doll are two period photographs. Rare images, one carte de visite of the doll and the original owner, the other, printed on paper and housed in a leather case, of the doll with the girl’s cat Snopps. Doll is wearing the original dress, replacement shoes. This item will need to be shipped by a packing company of your choice. We maintain a list of reliable shippers, or you may choose your own.
Condition
Good condition with no cracks or chips to the head. Body in good condition with typical cosmetic wear including loss or discoloration of finish, no cracks or losses. Original dress with typical age related wear including some damage to lace trim. See images for details.
