Description
Original painting on paper by Dirube (Cuban, 1928-1997). Signed LL. Depicts what appears to be a man playing an ocarina or similar handheld wind instrument The artist was born in Havana, and studied in the U.S. before returning to Havana. He later fled to the U.S., later settling in Puerto Rico, where he is credited with contributing to the development of fine art there. Measures 23-1/2″ x 19″. One of several pieces of important 20th century art pieces by Cuban artists (from the same Florida collection) in today’s auction. This item can be shipped in-house.
