Description
Elaborately cast Chinese bronze tripod vessel, likely a teapot or wine pot, featuring three-clawed dragons in high relief pursuing flaming pearls amid cloud scrolls. The design suggests decorative or export use, not imperial. The swing handle is adorned with gourd vines and fruit, and the lid is topped with a naturalistic butterfly and leaf finial-details influenced by Japanese Meiji design trends popular in the late 19th to early 20th century. Supported on three legs with applied leaf motifs. Measures approximately 7-1/4″ tall including handle.
