Description
Antique hand-carved shell cameo brooch set in a decorative 10K gold frame. The cameo depicts a classical lady in profile, possibly depicting Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, harvest, and fertility, with finely detailed hair, and having floral and wheat accents. The frame features scrolled corner elements and a traditional pinback closure that locks. Stamped “10K” on the reverse. Early to mid 20th century. Measures approximately 1-5/8″ tall by 1-1/4″ wide.
