Description
Hand-carved shell cameo featuring a classical lady in profile with detailed upswept hair adorned with a flower, and carved flowers at her shoulder. The cameo is set in an ornate octagonal 14K white gold frame with pierced filigree and engraved scrollwork. Fitted with a bail for pendant wear and a pin mount; the clasp pin is missing. Stamped 14K on the frame. Likely early to mid-20th century. Measures approximately 1-3/4″ high by 1-3/8″ wide. Total weight: 8.7 grams. Pin clasp is missing. one segment of pierced gold is missing, corresponding with where the original pin back would have been mounted. See images for more details on condition.
