Description
Classic French Model 1895 (Mle 1895) firefighter’s helmet, constructed entirely of brass with a raised comb and front and rear visors. The front bears a large embossed badge reading “Malange”, featuring a flaming grenade, with a badge having the town crest superimposed over crossed ases and a spread winged eagle – iconography traditionally associated with municipal fire brigades across France. Approx. 11″ x 7-1/2″. TAGS: French fire helmet, M1895 brass helmet, interwar municipal gear, WWI WW2 firefighter relic, vintage emergency services.
