Description
Japanese katana measuring approximately 27-1/2″ long with an overall length of 35-1/2″ to end of tang. The blade shows visible grain pattern (hada), consistent with folded steel construction. The tang is signed. Mounts include a floral-themed tsuba and decorative scabbard fittings with gold accents. The black lacquered saya features matching floral motifs. The tsuba is marked. The habaki is stamped with the number “20020.” The blade may date to the WWII period, though the scabbard and fittings appear later or non-military and may not be original to the sword.
