French helmet of an equestrian gendarme, presumed to be19th c. 1912 model. Brass with embossed white metal, scaled white metal and leather chin strap, crest with horsehair, feather plume. Marked “Franck et Ses Fils Aubervilliers”. Leather liner. Approx. 10″ x 11-1/2″.
