Description
WWII German Lion Head sword. Blade measures approximately 32-1/2″, 37-3/4″ overall, with a width of 3/4″. Cast brass hilt features a sculpted lion-head pommel with red glass eyes and raised oak leaf detailing on the backstrap. The guard is decoratd with a large spread-wing eagle clutching a swastika, while the underside of the quillon is stamped “D.R.P.,” indicating Deutsches Reichspatent status, a designation often associated with quality Solingen-made swords. Paired with a single-ring steel scabbard. TAGS: Third Reich army sword, German dress sabre, Nazi officer sword, Solingen edged weapon, vintage DRP military.
