Description
US Springfield Trapdoor carbine length rifle. Serial #18856 on barrel and receiver. Marked 1863 on sideplate. Approx. 50 cal. Trapdoor receiver is marked "1870 / Eagle over crossed arrows / US". Barrel measures approx. 22", 41" overall. Serial #18856. Both barrel bands marked with "U", stock is marked with 84 and 62. Butt plate is marked "US" above the screw. This item can be shipped in-house.
Condition: Age appropriate wear to stock and finish. No cracks in stock. Rifling visible in bore. Barrel does not appear to have been cut. See images.
